Benefits, benefits, benefits

I have a real love / hate relationship with Benefits management - largely because it is so hard to strike the balance between things that you can actually measure (which truly reflect ‘benefits’) VS things that you make up just to get a ‘measurement’ (ie, some table-top exercise where you ‘prove’ the value that is being generated) …

So - I’m keen to hear your go-to methods around defining and measuring benefits! How do you make the abstract measurable? And how do you do this in a way where you don’t create a full-time job just tracking benefits???
