Hi everyone, I’m Sophie, currently a Senior Business Analyst at Westpac NZ. I work fully remotely from Queenstown for two years now! I’ve done quite a few different gigs before becoming a BA in 2021 - Technical Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Marketing Manager at various sizes of companies in China, the States and NZ.
Since Jan 2023, I invested a lot of time building a BA Career Meetup community for people who want to know more about business analysis and get into the industry. We’re very proud to become the biggest BA Meetup group in NZ by delivering 50+ online and in-person events, impacting thousands of people around the world. That also motivated me to co-found this ACA community along with Vaughan, Hannah and Matt since we want to keep the rich conversation going outside those Meetup events.
Outside of my day-time job and night-time gig, I enjoy all kinds of outdoor sports like trail running, mountain biking, skiing, SUP and being dragged around by our energetic dog Tina. I’m also a big fan of adventurous activities such as bungy jumping and skydiving. So for me nowhere is a better place than Queenstown 
Fun fact about me: I started Chan’s Martial Art training since Feb 2024 and I just won the third place at my first Kungfu tournament in Christchurch in the past King’s birthday long weekend. So don’t mess up with Sophie, she is an official fighter
