Observation, adjustment, and iteration in the garden

A little observation, a small tweak to the plan, and a few zip ties later, we turned our nectar feeder into a tūī hotspot.

It’s a light-hearted backyard project, but the steps we took are the same ones I use in my work as a business analyst:

  • Observe the real patterns

  • Adjust the solution rather than starting over

  • Iterate until it works

  • Design for easy upkeep

I’ve shared the full story, with photos and clips from our wildlife cam, in my latest LinkedIn article:
Problem Solving in the Garden: Designing for Birds

It’s part feel-good, part practical problem solving and a nice reminder that BA thinking applies well beyond the office.

Omg I love this! :sparkling_heart:

And the observe first, adapt the env, prototype and iterate, and design for maintenance are so on point! :pinched_fingers:
