I wanted to share a quick personal milestone, I’ve been promoted to Senior Business Analyst.
It’s a moment that really brings home how far I’ve come since finishing my Master of Professional Business Analysis in 2021. I’ve worked across a few different organisations, tried different flavours of BA mahi, and learned something from every role, even the ones that didn’t feel like the right fit at the time.
I’ve found my stride in a role that blends systems thinking, governance, and internal consulting, not always what people picture when they think “BA,” but it’s a great match for my skills and interests. I wear a lot of different hats, and that’s how I like it. Being a generalist fills my cup.
This promotion wouldn’t have happened without a lot of hard work, encouragement from some amazing mentors and colleagues, and the solid foundation that came from the master’s programme.
If you’re new to the BA world or still figuring out your path, I just want to say: this is still an awesome career with real opportunities for growth, variety, and impact! Hang in there, your version of success might look different, but it’s absolutely possible.
